Some of you may have faced this problem as and when if there is a change to the owner name or it was mis-spelled when the you did the OS (Operating System) installation for the first time. Not to worry to have to redo all the installation over again, now with few simple steps as drafted below, it will allow you to change the owner name even after computer installation was completed.

1) Go to Start -> Run, then type regedit and hit Enter.
2) Locate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version.
3) On the right panel, double click on RegisteredOwner, then modify the value to the name as you preferred. You can also change the organization name as well by double clicking on RegisteredOrganization and change the value.
4) Restart your computer to take the effect of the changes.
Once your computer restarted, you will notice the registered owner or organization has been changed to the new name under system properties (right click on My Computer, then choose Properties under General tab).
