Scan Folder With Multiple Antivirus Software

Categories:

We all know that installing multiple antivirus software is not recommended, both by the experts and developers alike. It is only recommended to use a single antivirus software to prevent any conflict with the system. There are however few expert users who tend to install multiple antivirus, anti-malware, anti-spyware, and more security software for ultimate protection and bunch of other reasons.

AntivirusMulti is an opensource app targeted towards a very specific people who want to use multiple engines to scan a folder for virus or other malicious spyware. The good part is that such a software exists, the bad part is that it only has an ability to scan one folder. This folder can be your shared folder, a download folder, and so on.

The first step is to chose the directory that you want antivirus software to scan, next select the path of the antivirus software, pre and post commands, and hit Add current antivirus to add it in the Configured Antivirus List. Users can also test it before adding the antivirus to the list.

The app uses command line antivirus scanners and since it does not provide any help section, nor some examples of the pre and post commands, it is only suitable for advanced users.
Clicking Start Antivirus Monitoring button will not show any visual indication of the scan even though it will be happening in the background. From this we can say that the software is in the initial experimental stage only and should not be tried out by novices.
